Here's a list of trouble i'm getting. I have no idea at
all what is wrong, but i'm having problems with the following:

MSN - gives me error some error code
Yahoo mail - gives me certificate crap
Photobucket - keeps redirecting me to guest login screen
Silkroadforums - keeps logging me out when i use left menu
Windows defender - can't update

That's the problems i have right now, idk how many will follow.

Windows firewall is on, turning it off doesn't change a thing.
I changed some imternet settings, but nothing works.
I have completely legal vista x64.

Suggestions? It's quite annoying that i can't view my mail or
use my msn on here.

Maybe your cookies or cache folder is full? Probably the latter.
Clean your cache and try again.

deleted all cookies etc already. didnt work =[

Try running Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, it has helped my some times already. You can use it for free.

Have you recently installed an update through the Windows Automatic Updates?

Is your vista on sp1?

It isn't a virus people, this is a new pc that cin is having problems with.

exactly. i've had this pc for about 2 days now.

idk what service pack this is. it's vista ultimate x64.
i installed all windows updates so far.

there is no solution! the internet hates you too much.

do you have the correct date on your computer? if not change it to the correct date i used to have the same troubles you have

Tried diff browsers?

As far as windows defender goes, I couldn't get it to update either. I suggest getting a real anti-virus and disabling the windows junk.

i thought i changed the date back, and i had and put the
correct time. but i didnt notice it was set at 2016 instead
of 2009. everything works fine again now, thnx a bunch guys.

The applications you are running are x64 versions, correct? 32bit versions aren't backwards compatible with 64bit for the most part.

Assuming you already knew that... well, you DID install all the drivers for your computer right? Like.. motherboard, sound.. shit like that.

Guess you could try installing .net frameworks.. java.. shockwave.. maybe there's just some things missing.
Post some screenshots of the errors you get please.
