Quick Ebay Question

Hey guys, I'm new to Ebay. I was wondering if any of you guys are using it, or perhaps selling stuff off their site? I know its safe and secure and good stuff like that.
But my concern is what if Im trying to sell something, how would I do that? I know they need to use the bid/buy it now option first, then they send the money to my paypal account but can't they charge back the money when the item they "paid" for is finally in their hands? How would I get their money sent to my paypal account to my bank account?
Can anyone help me? THanks.

There's an option in paypal, "transfer funds to bank", that you just click on and put in the amount. They have to go through a whole dispute process to get their money back. As long as you have proof that you sent out the item, such as delivery confirmation number, then paypal will side with you. Before you sell on ebay, I'd just sign up for paypal and get familiar with it. Then start selling small stuff worth $1 - $20 on Ebay to build up some good feedback. Then after 30 good feedback you can sell stuff higher in value.

Oh thanks for the reply Locketart, for the delivery confirmation number I can get that when I send it out via usps or ups, etc right? Then I can send them an email saying "here is the confirmation number" via email in ebay right so I can have proof? As for the "transfer funds to bank account" thing would it takes a day or two and do you think the buyer will mind the waiting period?
Thanks again.

Well the transfer fund to bank account thing takes 3-5 days usually. UPS gives you a tracking number with your shipment and USPS offers delivery confirmation so you can use either one when you ship. The tracking number/delivery confirmation number itself is proof. I usually send out the item after I recieve payment but there are times when it's hard for me to get to the postal office during the week. I'll get a positive feedback but with a comment like "slow shipping" or "shipping took too long". I guess if you don't mind those comments on your Ebay feedback then you could wait until the fund transfer from your paypal to the bank.

Also keep in mind that you should only send the item once and ONLY once it
has been payed for. This may sound like something that is and is of course
common sense but many people even forget this golden rule...never had over
your item until you have the money for it.
Another canon of e-bay which Locketart stated above is feedback...as a new
user any negative you receive right now will damage your e-bay "reputation"
so keep in mind that even when giving a just a fair review to someone, you
may still receive and unjust feedback based on nothing more then bitterness
and childish vengeance.

Thanks Satman, yeah I was thinking if they have a low feed back score I'll just take the money and run...lol no jk. I'll transfer the money to my bank account then send out the item. But if it's a 200+ feed back buy with 95% and up positive buyer I'll trust them and send them out within a day or two after receiving the money to my paypal account.
Does that sound like a good stratagy?
