Headphone comparison

Hey, I've got some skullcandy INK'd earbuds, when I first got them however long ago that was (maybe a year or something), they were the best earbuds I've ever owned, despite their budget price. Sadly, the right earcable has started to split and I can now see the wire, so I think they may die soon.

I have a question though, should I buy another pair of INK'd buds (I don't like smokin's), or should I get the Sennheiser CX 300's?

Which one is better? Or is there something else that is <$50 that is even better?

Thanks for your help.

I'm pretty sure the CX 300 has better sound quality. I've never had any experience with any skullcandy headphones but I do own the CX 300 and the CX 500. Some places sell the CX 500 for less than $50 so get that version if you can.

Can you tell me the difference please, and if it's worth it.

Thanks much.

The bass is stronger and much clearer in the CX 500. The sound overall has more clarity in the CX 500 version than the CX 300. I heard that both versions come with their own volume control but only my CX 500 headphones have that feature. If you can't get the CX 500 for below $50 or close to $50 dollars, don't bother buying them. Unless you have an ear for good sound quality, the only major difference you will notice between the 2 is that the bass is stronger in the CX 500.
