Watchmen
Saw it. Thought it was amazing. I think its the only comic book movie that i've seen with a real attention to characters. What defines humanity plays a very big role. esides that it has a solid story, not just Hero vs. Villain. Alot of critics thought it was too faithful to the comic and by that they mean they just wanted another TDK or something with explosions (not that TDk was bad at all i love it) but Watchmen is more than your average comic, its a a story like i said and i very good story on many levels. so...
go see it
go see it

Re: Watchmen
I'll probably watch it some time next week seeing as it's going to be too crowded today and over the weekend.

Re: Watchmen
Went to see it today with my friends, mission not-accomplished.
We are only 14-15, and the guy was like, so nerdy, I'll quote:
*ridiculous face*: I'm sorry boys, but the movie is 16+, I'll have to see your ID's.
Me: What, are you serious? Cmon..
*ridiculous red face*: No.
My friend: **** off.
Then we asked the other guy and he was an asshole aswell.
Why?! The trailer seemed awesome.
Enjoy your luck, I'll have to DL it from somewhere on the net, with an awfull quality. Shiit.

I will try to see it as soon as I can. I might even take my new friend with me, if she's up for it that is. Then either way the evening will suck boundless, or it will become a monumental success. :3

Yeh, about 20 times during the movie, and at one point 4 times at once when he splits himself into multiple locations.
I thought it was good, there's just so much more to the novel than what you can fit in a 3hr movie..

This.
I heard that when they were writing the movie, they asked the guy who wrote the novel what parts he'd like to see cut out. Once that was done, they said the movie would have taken up like three days or something with all the material they had. So they shortened it more.

I actually hated it, though I haven't read the comics, I probably would've liked it and understood it more if I did.

Re: Watchmen
yeah i liked the way the movie ended as well...and oh that Dr.Manhattan he was easily my favorite character but i mean Rorschach has to be one of the most bad ass characters in cinema history....the theater burst into applause at one of his lines...one of my friends said he liked the movie overall but the one thing he didn't like was seeing Dr.Manhattans wang which i didn't mind as it was tastefully done and made a bit small on purpose not to mention that it wouldn't make sense for a god character to have shame anyway....

Yeah we were gonna buy a Ticket to Bedtime Stories, it started 30 mins before Watchmen, so we were going to switch, but Watchmen was on the room next to the entrance, = suicide mission. There are always 1-2 guys next to there and you can see it from the place where you buy the tickets. It'd be fun tho, the nerdy guy would be like: what the **** are those guys doing..
