Those ranking charts take into account more thing than just the quality of the gun. They are judged based on their performance at the time they were made, and other factors that are important when ranking the ultimate guns of all time, but useless when talking about which one you would want to carry into battle right now.
The AK47 is my favorite gun. The history channel rank it #1 for a lot of non-performance reasons like the amount produced. The amount produced changes nothing in terms of whether or not I would want to carry this gun into battle.
The spitfire is often ranked in the top planes ever, but it wouldn't hold a candle next to some of today's worse planes.

Ak-47 can still kick ass and i would choose it anyday i always choose Ak-47 in CSS or Cod 4 in any game i choose the ak-47 im in love with the ak-47 i want one so bad

I've got 2 rifles from that top 10 list. I'd still rather have a modern 100 series AK though.

The Ak 10X series have less fire power than the Ak-47 any ak below the 47 have less fire power so Ak-47 is the best

Different models of the 100 series use either 7.62 or 5.56. The 103 uses 7.62 which makes it just as powerful as the original AK. Also, the AKM that I own uses the same ammunition. The only differences are small design changes to make it lighter and cheaper to produce.

Having it so open as the best without categories doesn't really make much sense imo. Why not make like best handgun, rifle, machine gun etc.
