I have a group interview on march 3rd for pet land. I really need this job to pay for my college tuition because my parents made too much money for me to get grants and I have to fix my car and someone's fence. My parents like to rescue homeless animals and I had guinea pigs for 5 years so I think I know enough about pets to work there but I don't know what a group job interview is....

I had a group interview at Toys R'Us (Stop laughing) and they are pretty horrible. Basically they have 5-10 people and interview them all together.

In mine, i had to discribe a product, then had a group tour of the store and then we went back into the big room and were getting to know each other. Kinda like what you would do in school - Sit in a circle and tell the name of the person sitting next to you ect.

A tip is just to be yourself and be conifdent. Nobody wants to employ somebody who cant talk in public with a group of strangers or gets shy or embarresed easily.

Do not tell them you are/were a gamer. I remember reading somewhere that tons of mmo gamers were not hired cause of their gaming habits.

group interviews r fun. make sure to be outgoing, show interest, and be non-critical of the other people. the "group" part of the interview is also a very big test.

+1 Look around for group interview questions, I had one once and it was one of the more horrible experiences of my professional life. The questions they ask are impossibly lame.

On the up side, if you don't get hired don't fret, that company is evil. They deal with a lot of puppy mills, and other industrial output breeding facilities. If you don't know anything about them, I suggest looking into it. They do some sick shit to those poor animals.
