So apparently i have a practice exam to catch up on, however since i've missed the last 2 weeks of school since i've been in hospital, i have no idea what to do on the practice exam.
Im sure this question isn't that hard, but i don't know what im doing, so if someone could help then i'd glady appreciate it as it will save me a lecture from my maths teacher tommrow morning.
K here it is:
Code: Select all
20)
A New school has X day students and Y boarding students.
The fees for a day student are 600 dollars a term
The fees for a boarding student are 1200 dollars a term
The school needs at least 720,000 dollars a term.
a)
Show that this information can be written as "x + 2y > 1200"
b)
The school has a maximum of 900 students.
Write down an inequality in x and y to show this information.
c) What is the least number of boarding students at the schoolThats It! Like i said, its probably not that hard, so to any genius's out there, thanks in advance if you can solve this for me!
