Would u to visit it? it happened since 20years and there is still radiation on the red forest and in the pripyat town and others locations to i would like to visit it for sure

yeah, it always was some sort a dream for me to visit it . It is one of the really interesting places on earth

if i had the money i would visit it for sure seing such a sad and empty town and all the ppl that died from that disaster 50000 ppl left their home with all the things they had in realy interesting to visit

don't think they'll let you back in thru customs with the amount of rad you are going to have after visiting there, lol

i guess if you dont mind a totally suck trip, you can wear a NBC suit (given you gotta shit and piss inside the suit) for the trip

Most of the town is safe to go into, however the forest isn't.

im not talking about games and also stalker dosnt make u visit everything in chernobyl and also if there is the nuclear central of chernobyl in stalker that would be a false one cuz no one was able to get there even with radioactive suits

Not worth the effort. The cost to clean up the city would take a huge amount of money. The water isn't safe to touch. It would be like asking children to build a city on the side of Mt. Rushmore.


While i said most of the city is safe, staying there for long periods of time will have an effect on you.

Yes, it's safe for you to go there and visit, but not to stay for extended periods of time, kind of like the desert. You can go there and look around without being hurt, but if you stay to long it can get dangerous.

I'd like to go, though I'd be worried. I remember watching a documentary on this, it was really interesting and sad. It's amazing how people sacrificed their lives to help fix it. It seemed hmm whats the word...scary(?) I guess, when they could only do repairs for such a short amount of time, disposing of even little pieces. I wish I had seen the whole thing. Think it was on Discovery channel. Don't remember the forest stuff much and my internet is too crappy atm for youtube -.-

Just take a geiger counter and make sure you don't stay where it clicks for too long. Humans can survive radiation as long as it's not for extended periods of time.

Not if your safe about it. As long as you don't go wondering off into the danger zones you won't be at high risk of getting cancer.

Wouldn't it also affect the nearby rivers, water system or environment? causing it to spread to nearby places or they isolated the thing?

There would be so many ghosts and spirits there I think it would be fun, but quite scary. I once did a Ghost Tour through The Rocks in Sydney and at Quarantine Station. So many scary things...
