[BLOG] PA asserts sovereignty?

http://www.campaignforliberty.com/blog. ... 1464&cpg=1The reason I put a question mark at the end is because I don't really think much will come of this assertion of state sovereignty under the 10th amendment. GA has a similar bill (amendment?) to their state constitution, but we haven't really "done anything" [i.e.] the bill hasn't been used.
The tenth Amendment:
The powers not delegated to the United States [federal government*] by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.

So, wait... They are trying to become their own nation? I highly doubt it will work.
If not, could you explain it better?

Basically they can ignore federal mandates/laws if they refuse federal funding and stay within the confines of the constitution. Federalism. States rights/Peoples Rights VS Federal Powers and all that jazz.
Simplified:
If the constitution does not give the Fed the power to <<insert activity>> then the people/states can do it as long as the constitution does not explicitly forbid it.

Oh, that's pretty cool. Why has this been overlooked for so long? Or was it known but no one brought it up?

Bold; a lot of states rely on federal aid, and the few states that have similar bills haven't done anything. Put yourself in the shoes of a governor, house representative, or state senator. Refusing to abide by the rules of the central government has consequences. The idea of state sovereignty has been dead since the civil war, IMO.

This will only make situations worst.
IMO.

Pennsylvania could probably survive without federal aid in most parts because we're mostly forest and farmland. But in the urban areas cutting feral aid would have dire consequences. Taken into account that the number of people who are affected by federal aid vs the number who aren't would probably lead o this not being pass my our congress. And tbh anything that the south agrees with is something we should stay far away from.
