I don't think the voice transmit to the right one so i guess it's on the left piece.
Not sure about your headphones, so try both sides and check it out.

it does work lol. we tried that before in our guild ventrilo. although the sound quality is as shity as it can possibly be.

are you sure your not plugging in the wrong hole?

for mines, i see both jacks, but they are pretty much the same.
or try it on a different pair of headsets.

Yeah, lol, i don't have microphones too you know, that's why i made a topic like this so people can talk without microphones.
Headphones and Microphones are similar, just one offer more hearing quality and the other speaking.
I plug my headphones into the Microphone Plug-in, and i talk into my headphones, as a result i get volume, or input voice(i call it this >.<)
just try to like, cover your hands on your headphone, and speak into it, so then the surrounding sound within your hands can get the vibration of your headphone, since your headphone "speakers" are rather small
