I'm a cashew guy...I don't know why. Almonds are just too...Almondy for me. Wbu?

I've never eaten an almond as nut, but it's pro while cooking.
Thus
Whole nut > salted cashew
Cooking > almond
Total preference > almonds due to it widespread uses in cooking.

Not a nut kinda' guy really but, having said that, subject a few almonds to a good grinding and stick them in marzipan for Battenburg cake and I'm suddenly all for them.
