Mac/wireless problem.

Hey guys, I am having a little trouple with my Mac right now. When I went to bed, I closed my mac while I was listening to pandora.com. When I woke up today, I opened up my mac, but I noticed I had no signal. I went to check it out, but it said that Airport was off. For all of you who don't know, airport is the wireless application that enables you to go on the internet. It seems that this was deleted, and I can not find it anywhere to download. So, for you mac users, or people who are up to help me, where can I find Airport so I can get wireless again? Right now I am using ethernet, and I have other computers within my house that I can use. Its just nice to have my laptop so I don't feel restricted to one area.
thanks guys.

Try this http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1819
Not sure if that's your issue, but that's one of the more common AirPort issues in Leopard.

Despite my continuous efforts to prevent my mother from purchasing a Mac -- she still bought one and it kept having problems especially in the first 2 weeks. Asking for non-existent passwords, missing programs, crappy support (lol-idk-update answers). So I created the perfect solution to any MAC-related problem:

Ya, but the problem is I don't even have airport on my mac anymore. It says there is no software there for it to update or anything. I don't understand how this happened, but it did. all the things that I have tried are updates, and that doesn't help when you dont have the original. The worst part is that no where on the website, from what I have seen, is the basic Airport software. all of theirs have updates for windows, or they talk about special airport routers that i dont use anyways. I just need the software lol. Also, I am on OS Tiger, not leopard. I have had this mac for about 2-3 years, and this is the first problem I have had.

Oh, Tiger. Made my old HP laptop run OSX86 (Tiger) and the wireless gave me so many issues, but I guess that's expected with these projects. Tried looking for that particular issue you have (no AirPort after waking computer, or similar) and this is the closest I found which essentially does what you need. http://taisteal.atomiclemur.com/2007/06 ... -fixed-it/

So there is no way for me to just re download Airport? I mean from what I can see, my only problem is that Airport was deleted from my computer somehow.

Well actually I am making some progress, but ran into a problem.

It says that I need to update installer to install airport. This is sooo much fun.
