has anyone heard this guy? He's amazing! He is a creationist, but all of his facts are just unbelievable (in a good way) i went and saw him a few days ago, and he is really good. He like, blows your mind :o i'll get some youtube videos later, it's 11:56 and i'm posting on my phone. :o he has a website called answersingensis.com or .net, i can't remember. Discuss.

I find these words suspect when used together in the same sentence.

Seen him before but I'll strongly disagree that he is amazing. Maybe amazingly ignorant. This is a guy who is head of the Creation Museum, which basically denies any existence of scientific evidence that confirms pre-historic events, and teaches its visitors plain outright ignorance-- a snake-oil salesman if you will. When people start confusing belief with fact, that's when you have a problem.

Why do you guys always have to insult an individuals personal beliefs? Religion may have some flaws, and it may have some facts, but just because a portion of people DON'T believe in a certain higher being, it doesn't necessarily mean that this being is nonexistent in any form or way. Science has many flaws, theories, and a bunch of other shit, however it may have many laws and facts. Anyways, what I'm trying to say is.. live your life. Seriously.

When creationists start teaching others that science is evil and scientists are just "men rebelling against their creator" (quoting Ken Ham) it's another issue entirely. It is teaching people to be willfully ignorant to scientific facts or proof which is ultimately detrimental to society. I personally could care less what people believe, but when other people's belief system starts affecting the people around them in a negative way, that's when it gets dangerous.

ugh i hate religious speech on both fronts... but how can you not mock it same as i mock blues clues, batman,and sesame street. As they are free to speak their mind so are others negative or positive. when i see religious people or religious BS i get insulted not cuz of what they believe its how they believe. Going to confession doesn't erase the people you hurt, regretting what you did doesn't fix what you did, Praying doesn't get things done, needing a father on watch so they don't do something bad(what happen to self control), Killing with any motives is never justified, racism via {race, social stature, religion, and region}, and overall easily mislead if the subject has their religion tied into it. go ahead and belief but im angered when i have to see them not even understand what they believe. we can do better as a race they can keep what they believe but A) Honestly Evolve Ideas B)Don't play hypocrite..

Well, number one, I don't think science can disprove a lot of creationist "things" without disproving itself. However, that's only my opinion, and a totally different topic. Now, most religious people do not think science is evil, they just don't agree with the whole evolution process, and of course the Big Bang Theory. I don't know what this Ken Ham preaches about, and I honestly do not care. I'm just saying that those who do not believe in a higher being tend to get bashy with those who do believe.

I hate religion, and i totally do not agree with it. However, I believe in a higher being, because the universe is far to intelligent to be created on its own, and far too powerful with large amounts of energy. I can honestly say that the belief in a religion, and the belief in a higher being are two different things. Mocking a person's religion just shows how narrow minded you are when it comes to something so small.

or more like the lack of caring i dont care bout what you think or if you find me narrow minded b/c within your statement that makes you narrow minded believe what you want to believe all that goes according to what you think will happen to you after death. im saying do good honest things while your alive i dont care if buddha or a flying spagetti monster tell you at least stick to it and dont be hypocrite. the act of not caring sometimes go far more then caring and being stingy and generalizing. all i believe in is the mind and the way it works from birth i dont care if where just an atom or created by some thing. all that matters to me is that of the mind and how we perceive things and why....and it all indicates to survivalist nature and basic selfishness but i wont call you up, on what you are cuz you can mock me and i can laugh at myself. because the subject matter itself should be laughable...i do not lack on mind expansion sort,i looked into every religion you can think of i have looked into. koran red sea scrolls, satanism, end even looked into the book of thelema if you know what that is anyways im telling you mock at it cuz in the end that very same act is more mind expanding then being sucked into the abyss of endless unanswered questions. in the matter if your a decent human being it doesnt matter what you think, more so what you do.....and most of these religions arent doing so like 10% is good the rest is just not acceptable for the human race cuz i know we can do better, god or ney doesnt matter.

Like facts, laws are indisputable. Theories explain laws and other natural phenomena/occurrences. Theories are supported by the laws they seek to explain, and by experiments. Some experiments are quick and easy and only require your five senses; others require time, energy, and sight.

Higher being != fact. It is faith based. It being faith based is fact.

The point isn't that they are "speaking" their mind, its that they are trying to force their beliefs onto others by mocking the credibility of other belief systems.

I myself dont have a belief in anything, religion or atheism. The way i see it, the only thing that i can be slightly sure about is the fact that i am here ( unless i am in possession by some sort of evil spirit, something i haven't yet ruled out ). And thats all i need. Im not going to look to the past or someone else for guidence, im just going to live. Now that is my opinion. And i believe i am quite justified in stating it.

But if i was to say something along the lines of "I myself don't believe if anything. I think religion is bullsh[font=99]i[/font]t and is based on a whole load of unproven facts. I think evolution is also bullshit and anyone that believes in it is ignorant and should believe in my way of living", than my statement is incredibly unjust as i am trying to force people to believe what i believe simply due to the fact that i believe it.

Believe whatever the hell you want for whatever reason you want to, frankly i don't care. But the instant you call others stupid and say their facts are ignorant, then i may just start to have a problem with it.

I dont know why people dont give into terrorism. What if we oppose it and we all get killed by it? Why not just give in to it? You've got nothing to lose but your lives to gain.

See my point? Sometimes, even if it means the ultimate sacrifice, its better not to give into something because of the fear of it. Its called terrorism, and last time i checked the magority of the world is having a war fighting it...

I don't rule out the fact that there could be a higher power but i despise every religion because there's just too many contradictions in them. I mostly see them as old ways for morals to be taught to one another.

I have a question, Christianity for example.

Lets say someone only believes in parts of the bible or half of what the bible says.
Wouldn't you go to hell because you aren't accepting the bible 100%?
A person can still get into heaven if they believe in parts of the bible?
A lot of people i talk to say "Oh yea i believe in god and the bible and everything" then i ask them about everything being created in 7 days and they say "Oh no i don't really believe that."
