How safe is Western Union is a method of payment?
I'm trying to sell something and I just want them to pay me via bank but I keep getting great offers which I have to blow off because of them wanting to pay with Western Union.

I think there's something not right so I just avoid them, but how safe is Western Union? Can shit be chargebacked like PayPal?

Depends where they are from, if they are from any 3rd world country like Egypt, Turkey, America then there's a high chance you will not get your money. From experience it's safe .. but it's not 100% secure .. just keep that in mind. Tell the buyer to give you his telephone number for security .. and then tell him to scan the reciept he should recieve to you.

I personally don't use Western Union. But I do suspect that it's safe.

it's safe. but if I were you, I would wait until I have my money.

I've used it some times to send money to relatives and friends.

The only thing is if you were to buy something from WU is that it's like if you were sending a loved one money. IF they feel like scamming you (the seller) then they could just walk away with the money and all you have is their address. For all you know it's a fake address.

with WU you are just sending money, WU doesnt care to who or where, there is no way to charge back because the other person has the money already.

Use paypal to sell things online, its safer than WU

America = Not a third world country. America does not equal US. America is the continent.
