a separate country apart from china?
i personally do cause its kina like North and South Korea. You don't consider South Korea to be part of North Korea, why would you do the same for Taiwan?

Re: do you consider taiwan a country
well singapore make itself a country, so any other places can too.
BUT is what the country and the government do to make the world recognize it. and is not that u self proclaim a country and ppl will treat it as a country. doing the right thing and doing the things right for recognition is a hard and painful process.
seeing the news from taiwan, how the parties of the government fight and quarrel over an issue is such a disgrace. ladies pull each other's hair, throw chair, rush up punch ppl, really an ugly side. and the other thing, corruption, not to say corruption does not exist in other country, but for taiwan, it seems a bit bad. take a look at the ex-president of taiwan, one seriously god damn corrupted.

Christ, i dont know what country you're from, but it better not be America. What a shameful attitude. China hasn't "beaten" America yet and you're already succumbing, kissing the toes willfully? Pathetic. You are right that China is getting stronger, but its no reason to be afraid. And who's afraid? Its much more productive to be defensive and suspicious.

Poor analogy. North and South Korea are already internationally recognized, just in drastically different lights. Nor is the political situation the same for N and S Korea as it is for China and Taiwan.

China hasn't "beaten" America yet and you're already succumbing, kissing the toes willfully? so wait for another Pearl Habour but with nuclear strikes THEN reevaulate? Pathetic. You are right that China is getting stronger, but its no reason to be afraid. And who's afraid? Its much more productive to be defensive and suspicious. There are differences between Afraid-with ur thumb up ur ass, and Afraid-lets do something, i am the ladder No reason to be afraid? Okay there.
1. A few years ago, US Navy had to redraft the Pacific fleet to handle potential threats from the PLA navy
2. China and Japan still have grudges left over from WW2 and yet the US kept supplying the SDF high tech weapons
3. US government servers had been under hacker attacks, hackers who did not make 1 typo mistake. although their ips were tracked back to china but without hard evidence, it was hard to connect that to PLA evolvement
You hope you are not from the states, cause I am relying on the states to do the heavy lifting when ww3 breaks out

Operation Iraqi Freedom [read: Fck up] was about fake WMDs and "defending our way of life." The Doctrine of Preemptive War says it all.

Taiwan is not a country?
I am/was under the impression it was, or at least a very independent state.

Don't believe everything you hear from the taiwanese/chinese news agencies. There has been no proof of anything yet, only accusations.

Re: do you consider taiwan a country
taiwan is seperate but if china wanted to take it over they could do it in a few minutes but then again america would prob invade china to protect democracy then again america is china's bitch when it comes to money so it would be quite funny ^_^
