Underworld: Rise of the Lycans
Release Date: January 23, 2009

Plot Summary: "Underworld: Rise of the Lycans" delves into the origins of the centuries-old blood feud between the aristocratic vampires, known as Death Dealers, and the barbaric Lycans (werewolves). A young Lycan, Lucian (Michael Sheen), emerges as a powerful leader who rallies the werewolves to rise up against Viktor (Bill Nighy), the cruel vampire king who has persecuted them for hundreds of years. Lucian is joined by his secret lover, the beautiful vampire Sonja (Rhona Mitra), in his battle to free the Lycans from their brutal enslavement.

Friday the 13th
Release Date: February 13, 2009

Plot Summary: Returning to the story that started it all, this retelling of the original "Friday the 13th" heads back to summer camp where a mysterious killer is systematically slaughtering the teenage camp counselors.

Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun Li
Release Date: February 27, 2009

Plot Summary: "Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun Li" is a live-action feature film based on Capcom's video game. The new film is focused on female fighter Chun-Li and her journey for justice.

Dragonball
Release Date: April 8, 2009

Plot Summary: "Dragonball" is adapted from the manga created by Akira Toriyama; the work was also turned into a Japanese anime series that played all over the world. It tells the story of an alien sent to destroy Earth, who has a change of heart and decides to join the humans in their fight against various aliens and bad guys.

X-Men Origins: Wolverine
Release Date: May 1, 2009

Plot Summary: Leading up to the events of "X-Men," "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" tells the story of Wolverine's epically violent and romantic past, his complex relationship with Victor Creed, and the ominous Weapon X program. Along the way, Wolverine encounters many mutants, both familiar and new, including surprise appearances by several legends of the X-Men universe.

Star Trek
Release Date: May 8, 2009

Fast & Furious
Release Date: June 12, 2009

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince
Release Date: July 17, 2009

Plot Summary: Voldemort is tightening his grip on both the Muggle and wizarding worlds and Hogwarts is no longer the safe haven it once was. Harry suspects that dangers may even lie within the castle, but Dumbledore is more intent upon preparing him for the final battle that he knows is fast approaching. Plot Summary: The movie will be a modern telling of the "G.I. Joe vs. Cobra" storyline and its compelling characters that Hasbro created 25 years ago. The premise of this fantasy is the story of the G.I. Joe team, led by Duke, and their "fight for freedom wherever there is trouble" against the evil Cobra Commander and his Cobra force. This storyline was an instant hit with kids in the early 1980s, spawning a highly popular 3-3/4-inch action figure line, comic book collection and animated series. The G.I. Joe team will not be based in Brussels. Instead, they will be based out of the "Pit" as they were throughout the 1980s comic book series. And, in keeping with the G.I. Joe vs. Cobra fantasy, the movie will feature characters and locations from around the world. Duke, the lead character and head of the G.I. Joe team, will embody the values of bravery and heroism that the first generation of G.I. Joe figures established.

A Nightmare on Elm Street
Release Date: TBA 2009

Plot Summary: Warner Bros.' New Line Cinema has hired veteran screenwriter Wesley Strick to pen the relaunch of the "A Nightmare on Elm Street" series

The original "Nightmare" was written and directed by Wes Craven and released in 1984. The new project will keep the high school setting and delve deeper in the psychology of nightmares and Freddy Krueger himself.

Thundercats
Release Date: TBA 2009

Plot Summary: "Thundercats" revolves around a group of humanoid cats (with feline names like Lion-O, Tygra, Panthro and Cheetara) who must flee their planet of Thundera after it's destroyed. Once crash-landing on another planet, Third Earth, they must thwart Mumm-Ra, an evil sorcerer, bent on killing them off.

Warcraft
Release Date: TBA 2009 (Actually 2011)

Plot Summary: Big screen adaptation of popular fantasy video game franchise "Warcraft." The movie will be live-action with a yet to be determined level of CG environments and effects. The story would take place about a year before the events in "World of Warcraft" take place. The film will be told from the Alliance perspective.

From all movies you listed, X-Men Origins: Wolverine is probably the only one I'll see.

I think the Warcraft move is gonna be released 2011 instead, saw a discussion of it on a WoW forum. But then, it might be inaccurate. It's just that because there's barely anything heard of that movie at the moment so I doubt it's gonna be out this year.

Omoshiroi. ( Interesting.) Wolverine is always worth watching, I want to learn more about his History, but sadly that is also the only one I will be seeing.
