It's hard to understand because I'm an American, and they have a British accent.

We have this radio station in holland called 538. They used to (or have) a late night 10min show, where break-ups got the oppurtunity to get fixed on air.

Needless to say, some things never got fixed.

Britain does have different accents, the UK has different accents because it's made up of different countries. You can say "we [England] invented the language, you're all the ones with accents". You may have made the language, but it doesn't excuse you from having an accent. To me, and most other people, the way you talk is different. Americans, often call Australians British (though in my opinion, we sound NOTHING alike).

The truth is, everyone has an accent. I've got an Australian accent -.-

As a North American I can confirm that (1) Australians do not sound British, and (2) most North Americans are ignorant of the difference.

I'm a North American, and it is difficult for me to distinguish the difference between British and Australian accents without hearing certain slang words.

Meh, I can't tell the difference between Canadians and Americans, unless the Canadians say 'eh' after every sentence.

United Kingdom (UK) is made up of England, Wales, Scotland & Ireland (well part of it)

England its self is broken down into Counties which most have different accents
