the temp on my CPU scares me considering my room temperature is 21° The fan on it is always on high speed tho since it doesn't make any difference for the noise cus I have 4 other high speed fans in my case for good airflow/cooling. Also for the Max temperatures i was playing UT3 to check how high it'd go.
Anyone got any other good programs for checkin CPU/hardware temp? Or do u actually think this is possible? (CPU aint over/underclocked its stock speed) (no I CBA to reboot and check my BIOS )

Looks normal to me, maybe a little high but well within operating range. IIRC, the Athlons are rated well over 60 C.

well your graphics card is running a bit high but thats not a big problem just de-dust your comp out and it will run a bit cooler

Yea I agree on the dusting part but it all looks find. Even 50C on that 9600gt is fine. THey can run up to 85C+ before thermal shut down/hardware failure. Processors are fine till about 60-70C.(but thats pushing it)

wow no, that is a good temperature for the card, what are you talking about? my 8800gts runs at 61C. OT now, if your really worried go into your BIOS and check what setting the fans/heatsink is set at.

and it idels around 32c

I mostly posted it cus of the minimum temp of my CPU core#0 saying 8° which is 13° less then my actual room temperature
if thats really normal imma overclock it 5200+ -> 6000+ :O my old CPU (athlon xp 2600+) used to get like ~40° so ye 8° dont really seem that normal for me :\

Thats the minimum. Like when you CPU is idle, no work load, it does use as much power so it cools off. My friend has a huge zalman heatsink he gets around 11C avg. Last but not least Lower is better.

people will have different temperatures using the same hardware, there are so many variables, one person might be in a cold environment with a closed case elevated off the ground, while another could be in a hot environment, open case and tabs, and on the ground, and also how much that piece of hardware is being used.

Ok now i really made it idle (shut most stuff down except msn/vent/yahoo) and i left it with monitor off for ~10mins and core#0 reached 6°C
But ye I want to overclock my CPU pref towards the 3,0ghz per core because i got the feeling its the bottleneck of my system and also cus my temps are so low even tho its stock cpu fan/sink.
Should I just overclock it bit by bit and see how much the heat increases? or just take it straight to 3,0 and keep monnitoring the temps?

if you do, do it bit by bit, you dont want to risk frying anything.

Heh, cpu's can go way lower than that and function properly so don't be concerned.

My CPU is at 55-65 C and 9800GT is at 73 C

his graphics card is running fine lol. My 4870 runs idle at around 48 degrees celcius, and gets around 60 when gaming. my old 7950GT used to get to 70+ idle, and peak at 110 degrees celcius, now that's hot. (with 80% fanspeed, probably defective)
you can try coretemp or thermal analysis tool if you want another opinion on your temps, but I guess they're just cool. it's heat you want to worry about..

I wasnt concerned about it being too cold and then causing problems cus i know heat is the only thing to worry about (unless u actually freeze it XD), my concern was more about the program actually being accurate since it seemed too cold to me.
But now i also checked my BIOS for the temp and it was about the same so now I overclocked it 2,7 -> 2,9ghz per core idle temps are now Core#0 ~11° & #1 ~17° and stressed (running PW,tabula rasa, UT3 and all my basic apps) the temps go core#0 ~25° & #1 ~30°

CPU temp cant be lower than room temp with air cooling, its physically impossible.

My shit runs hot all the time. CPU is usually around 40-50c and my video card is always around 70-90c.
No problems in 2 years.

uh.. yeah it can? how do you think a fan in a hot room works lol....
kay so, you aren't using stock cooling are you? cause if so you must live somewhere really cold. Run a stresstest with Orthos and see what kind of temps you get after 5 minutes or so. and nah.. programs will run fine at any cpu temp above freezing, and maybe ever after freezing according to this video from a few years ago o.O
Code: Select all
lol
