There was an article about it on a website. I'll try digging it up.
Edit: just found a
familiar article.
#2There are probably tons of such articles out there.

I didn't read the whole article back then, but even if there are no dangerous ads or anything at all in the domain it self, but people will avoid website with a .tk extension. That's why you should avoid using it on the first place.

I was about to say the same thing. Domain names + hosting are rediculously cheap. Shouldn't be to hard to find a couple of dollars/euro's.

If you know it won't be a great hit, why pay money for it, if only like 100 people a month will come to your website. A free one is good enough.

So spending 6 dollars is only suited for big hits? I spend more on hamburgers when i go to the mcdonalds. That's not an arguement. 100ppl per month on a website, could allready easily be worth the $6.
And when the fun's over, kill it. nps.

I payed something like £7 for
http://www.StealMySoda.com for 3 years. At the end of the day, that's how much it costs for a couple of drinks on a night out. 3 years, is a long time.
Do I use it? Not really? But it's handy for hosting images and files on when I need to.
