Time Warner Cable??

Well this morning I was watching Mad TV and this little moving text started to appear, I thought it was part of the skit but then it said that Time Warner Cable and another company is planning on shutting down 18 channel including Spike,nick,Comedy Central and more.
But then I turned to the channels that were mentioned and that same message keep passing on through out the channels.
It says " Call your company and FIGHT to keep these channels" Must be atleast 18 years old to call.
Why is Time Warner shutting down these channels?

Has nothing to do with it, its licensing. They do that a lot, specially between fox channels and DirecTV. You always see that go across the screen. Think its to do with the rights and other legal crap.

i got time warner havent seen it on the tv well i rarley watch it anymore unless im off cause i work then i go on my pc

Lol, I don't have Time Warner Cable or Light house cable ( Other company who needs license). I have Comcast. I was just posting this because it was posted on Comcast channels so I was like what the hell?

Well, We're watching TV Land atm, nothing so far *thank god*, so did they change their minds cuz i thought it was at Jan 1, 12:01 A.M.

ya all my shows on Time Warner are working perfectly fine too. i assume enough people called TW to complain and they had a change of plans. probably only temporary.
