WTF!

Ok, well I did this test to check something out.
This is my speed on my computer at home. Mine is an HP and will be 2 years old in January.
This is my grand mother's computer a dell which is 8 years old.
Could some one explain this to me honestly WTF. My grandmother lives 2 mines away and this is the difference.

I'm pretty sure Speedtest is based on Internet speed not computer speed

Different host? It has nothing to do with the age of the pc..ok maybe a bit but mostly the host XD And I guess wireless or wired.

Get a long ass ethernet cable that goes from your grandma's house to yours and ur set.

Their both the same ISP and are both wired to the computer.

so they are both on the same connection? it sounds like she gave you a speed cap so hers would be faster

Same ISP but different package? My ISP has 4 different packages to suit everyone depending on what you use the internet for. I have just about the same as your grandma.

Ill ask her what she has when she comes over next time.
My computer shares the internet with my downstairs comp. I'll rerun the test when that one is off to see if i get a better number. But my previous tests in the past have had a ball park of what I have now.
