Illegally that came out in 2003 I've never pirated games only music before is it just like that where its almost impossible to get caught? Also my ISP is evil is there any chance they would care if I was downloading software without paying for it?

What game is it? They won't really get you unless it's pretty new.

Bob has been doing it for years, and also Bob has downloaded like games that come and and go online to be downloaded like the next day or like at 1am of the day of release.

Guess it depends where are you from , cause im downloading games way before they even get released and music and what not , nothing yet and probably wont be in the near future as well :p

If you're anywhere where your network is monitored by people (college campus/work/whatever) then it's probably fairly easy to get caught. IIRC that's really the only way they will catch you, people can't be bothered to monitor random people's downloads.

My friend downloaded Halo this year and he said he got a message from his ISP telling him to delete it or they will take action

in russia there is no law that say you not download games so they dont realy care if u even download GTA 4

Lol you wont get caught, even with latest release. The last forum i was on was a psp piracy forum and some guy who had uploaded 400 games said he got busted by cops and no1 believed him.

Two of my friends got a letter for a £500 fine for downloading the Scooter album. The same company also fined thousands of people £500 for Pinball 3D. Google it and you'll see the company name - i cant remember it anymore. But there a loads of torrents they've tracked and fined for, there was a list showing it somewhere, included films / games and music, and a lot of old wierd crappy stuff aswell.

I would only download torrents if i was using PeerGuardian now.

I believe in Holland it's legal to download, if it's for personal use.

i never been caught downloading anything and belive me my download habit started when i was like in 7th grade was 12 now im 20 never been caught
of course theres a chance i can butt ill then i wont stop if u worried ask a friend to download it for u or use his/her comp when u go over his or her house or try downloading from public libary or school or internet cafe

I think it's only legal to download and distribute if you own a copy yourself.
For example: I have a video of a movie then I can legally download this movie to get it in DVD format. I can share this too, but everyone needs to have his copy bought already.
I think that's how the law works here in Holland, could be wrong though.

They may have said that, but there is NO way whatsoever they could prove you have or have not deleted the game, unless your ISP requires you run their own EXEs to use their internet. If that's the case-- that ISP is... spectacularly fail.

Getting caught illegally downloading a game is the equivalent to trying to steal a police car near the police station where the police will hold their annual city wide police convention.
