A US bakery has refused to decorate a three-year-old's birthday cake with his name - Adolf Hitler Campbell.
The trouble, the New Jersey shop said, was that it was "inappropriate" to put such a name on the cake.
But the little boy's father, Heath Campbell, said it was unfair of ShopRite supermarket to turn down his request.
Heath Campbell said he named his son after Adolf Hitler because he liked the name and because "no one else in the world would have that name".

I'm not jewish and still find that offensive, I can even see his point of liking the name if he named the kid "Adolph Campbell" but to go out and name him "Adolph Hitler Campbell" is just asking for it in my books.

I'd refuse to make a cake with that name on it also. If they did make it, someone would probably try find some reason to sue the company. As they do.

There is nothing wrong with it. Its a free country...you can name your child or pet anything you want. Its just usually highly discouraged most times because kids might get made fun of/raise eyebrows in this case.
No, its not enough to get him killed, for those of you who are saying it is. Jews arent going to shoot him. No one will. Its wrong of the cake shop to refuse to decorate the cake. They have nothing to lose...why would they deny the request?

Well when you hear the name " Adolph Hitler" you by instinct, atleast for me, think thousands of people dead, wars, depressions, etc. So you can see where some of us find it a little offensive. By no means am I saying he is not with in his rights to do, he can name his kids what ever he wants, but that's where
common sense comes into play. Like I said before naming your kid Adolph Hitler is just asking for it.

you could say the same for most names by relating them to some psychopath or perv in history. so now they can't be used? as others said, there's nothing wrong with it.

For the time being, the matter has been settled - the Campbells had their cake made by Wal-Mart.
Wal-MArt is taking over the world!

So true anything u make a Super Wal-mart and then, the market is cheaper then Shoppers or anyother market. WALMART HAS ONE OF THE BEST BUSINESS MANAGEMENT IN THE WORLD. Thats y they so good xD

excellent point seriously your having kids as a joke if you name them adolph hitler, i mean lots of people probably have the name adoplh or hitler but putting the two together on purpose is unacceptable.
Also he named his other kid after a nazi proving he somewhat supported nazis, mind you maybe he didnt support there ways of extermination and super race but he supported something else about the nazis

hitler is his middle name. going threw school they will mainy only know his first and last name. he shouldnt have problems untill he learns about hitler
