I have watched it with my eyes wide open, enjoyed the twists in it.
However, there is one thing I don't understand, and I really want to know badly.
My question is in the spoiler beneath, however it contains plot details, so if you wan't to see the movie without knowing, don't look.

So, for those of you who've seen it, Julia (Angiers love) dies in the beginning. Borden did this because of a complicated knot which Julia couldn't remove within her breath time in the tank, right? What I don't get is, why does Alfred Borden appear to be the innocent man towards the ending and Angier isn't (When the tesla machine shows us what it can do, and then the scene where you see Alfred Borden try to break the tank, this is proving that he's the innocent one amiright? ) Isn't angier supposed to ruin alfred's life bcos Alfred killed his loved one? I really don't get it and i'm dying to know... I guess it could be that they're both neither innocent or guilty, but it would be the first movie I see that in I'm really tired right now, haven't slept last night so it could be something uber simple, if so, sorry

What you might have missed is that a lot of movie is in flashbacks and doesn't keep a constant timeline. Idk if you knew this but if you didn't that is prolly why.

I say, watch it a 2nd time. Of course you'll know in big lines what will happen, but you understand alot more why the characters did certain things.

Really enjoyed watching the movie. and Hugh Jackman. :3

That is usually what I would do, and sometimes it's indeed all in the flashbacks/forwards
I just can't really be bothered to watch it again.
What my problem is, is that I can't deal with the fact that they can both be guilty haha.
Anyway..RuYi, what did you mean with your spoiler? Heading me into a direction here?

Well yeah, i get it ofcourse that's not what I meant, there were 2 borden's, and they switched occasionally. But what about who's guilty and who's innocent? need to know I mean, they show the machine trick in the beginning, and after that borden, or one of the 2, kills Julia, angier's love. I just don't understand how Angier could die in the end, as the "guilty" one, even though he was seeking revenge for his wife? Borden appeared to be the bad guy all along with his evil little actions, it just doesn't make any sense :S

It's been a while since I saw the movie, so I can't go in much detail. Plus, I suck at explaining, and seeing how the movie plot was pretty complicated, this can go terribly wrong.
What I meant with the spoiler:

If you saw the movie, you know Borden has a twin brother. If you watch the movie again, alot of unclear things are explained. Remember when Julia drowned because she couldn't get rid of the rope in time? Angier asks Borden what knot he uses, and Borden answers he doesn't know? It's because he asked the twin who did not tie the knot.

Both had secrets. IMO, Borden's secret (His twinbrother) wasn't that bad. Angier created a duplicate of the person to be teleported. They were drowned each time the trick was done. Both were guilty, both made huge sacrifices to win the heart of the crowd, and the title as greatest magician.

I know he was asking the twin, who simply doesn't know, hence why I said "yeah ofc i know there are 2 bordens".
Anyway, it seems I'm looking too far for answers, they're just the way they seem.
