say... if i buy a wireless router, do i need that particular brand of wireless adaptors to use it? like right now my laptop has a wireless adaptor in it, will i be able to use it straight away if i get a wireless router?

All you need to do is set up the router to your primary computer , and just find the line with your laptop (might be that you will need drivers for your wireless connection) but thats about it...

At least with the router i have , ive just plugged it in , installed as was written in book and simply found the internet line with my laptop .

for my router i just plugged it into my pc though network cable, set a pass on it and i can use wireless anytime if, just need to enter the pass

i got a Linksys, but wont say you have to buy one aswell or so, bet there are manyy more good brands out there
