She forgets the words to the American Anthem, she gets booed; she goes and finds the lyrics on paper, she walks back onto the ice and slips
I laughed

dude, it is not "gay"
Its just a song created with feelings, by this dude, Francis Scott Keys.
I would just say it's kind of boring, but don't say its gay.
OT: I wouldn't say shes dumb, i would just put it on failblog

I know the American anthem probably better than her obviously. I don't mind your anthem, though Canadian I must say is quite bad, along with British

Theirs are way better, ours is just some song some dude wrote after a war, and it's not even really true, and has nothing to do with today.
O Canada kicks ass.

Canada
Spoiler!
O Canada! Our home and native land! True patriot love in all thy sons command. With glowing hearts we see thee rise, The True North strong and free! From far and wide, O Canada, We stand on guard for thee. God keep our land glorious and free! O Canada, we stand on guard for thee. O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.
Britain
Spoiler!
God Save the Queen
God save our gracious Queen, Long live our noble Queen, God save the Queen! Send her victorious, Happy and glorious, Long to reign over us, God save the Queen!
O lord God arise, Scatter our enemies, And make them fall! Confound their knavish tricks, Confuse their politics, On you our hopes we fix, God save the Queen!
Not in this land alone, But be God's mercies known, From shore to shore! Lord make the nations see, That men should brothers be, And form one family, The wide world ov'er
From every latent foe, From the assasins blow, God save the Queen! O'er her thine arm extend, For Britain's sake defend, Our mother, prince, and friend, God save the Queen!
Thy choicest gifts in store, On her be pleased to pour, Long may she reign! May she defend our laws, And ever give us cause, To sing with heart and voice, God save the Queen!
USA
Spoiler!
The Star Spangled Banner
Oh, say! can you see by the dawn's early light What so proudly we hailed at the twilight's last gleaming; Whose broad stripes and bright stars, through the perilous fight, O'er the ramparts we watched were so gallantly streaming? And the rocket's red glare, the bombs bursting in air, Gave proof through the night that our flag was still there: Oh, say! does that star-spangled banner yet wave O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave?
On the shore, dimly seen through the mists of the deep, Where the foe's haughty host in dread silence reposes, What is that which the breeze, o'er the towering steep, As it fitfully blows, half conceals, half discloses? Now it catches the gleam of the morning's first beam, In fully glory reflected now shines in the stream: 'Tis the star-spangled banner! Oh, long may it wave O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave!
And where is that band who so vauntingly swore That the havoc of war and the battle's confusion A home and a country should leave us no more? Their blood has washed out their foul footsteps' pollution! No refuge could save the hireling and slave From the terror of flight or the gloom of the grave: And the star-spangled banner in triumph doth wave O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave.
Oh, thus be it ever, when freemen shall stand Between their loved home and the war's desolation! Blest with victory and peace, may the heav'n-rescued land Praise the Power that hath made and preserved us a nation! Then conquer we must, when our cause it is just, And this be our motto: "In God is our trust": And the star-spangled banner in triumph shall wave O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave.
Australia
Spoiler!
Australians all let us rejoice For we are young and free We've golden soil and wealth for toil, Our home is girt by sea: Our land abounds in nature's gifts Of beauty rich and rare, In history's page let every stage Advance Australia fair, In joyful strains then let us sing Advance Australia fair.
Beneath our radiant Southern Cross, We'll toil with hearts and hands, To make this Commonwealth of ours Renowned of all the lands, For those who've come across the seas We've boundless plains to share, With courage let us all combine To advance Australia fair. In joyful strains then let us sing, Advance Australia fair. spacer
The only important countries in the worlds anthems
I don't mind Australian anthem, but I think there's a better choice for one than this. Though better than "God Save the Queen" when we first became a country. Can't wait until we ditch the Union Jack from out FLAG!

They play this clip every other day on North American sport networks. They usually play a set of clips, and one of them is one that i'm sure we could all enjoy. A cheerleader gets thrown into the air, she falls and hurts herself. They carry her out on a stretcher and while she's laying on it her arms are still flailing while she attempts to finish her routine. It makes me laugh.

She sounded like someone pointed a shotgun to her back and forced her to sing. Then she forgets the lyrics, walks back behind the players retrieving a piece of scribbled paper, then loses her footing and lands on her behind.
Good idea, but poorly executed.

Based on her accent, this woman is a French Canadian, meaning she didn't hear the American anthem at school, and was probably asked to sing at the game a week or two before. Try learning a song you don't know the notes or words to in a couple weeks and be able to sing it infront of a crowd of several thousand, plus however many million watching on television.
As for slipping on the ice, take some heeled shoes and try to walk on ice.
