If they ever would realize this, it would be the ultimate form of architecture.
The plan is to make one in Dubai and one in Moscou.

That idea is epic fail. All that movement will make everyone in the damn building sick.

The video shows the movement in high speed for demonstrational purposes, while the actual structure would have very very slow rotations. Not more than 1 meter a minute I'd say.
Ofcourse the rooms won't fly around like a rollercoaster :p

yea that would be a breakthrough for architecture indeed. but i dont get the part in the video with the energy mills (?) throwing the building's rooms like a frisbee?

Yeah. As I head too, it's to even out the prices between rooms that face the beach and those that don't. Well, that's probably not the only reason but it sounds good. lol
1. The moving skyscrapers is a good idea, I guess. Except Dubai is ugly as all hell, if there was no oil in that city, it would be like just another desert.
2. There's plenty of moving observations, not many buildings that actually move themself, that's the difference.

1. Wont happen, atleast not the way the video is presenting
2. Are ppl that fcking tired of a stable 4 corner room ffs or what?
3. This is doing too much...period.

I'm telling you, one day a massive storm is going to show up and obliterate that city.

Of course I know that but still. It would throw you off balance if you walk on normal ground. When you sleep it will probably make you dizzy in the morning.

Dubai people don't care if you get dizzy from a little spin or not, they just wanna dump billions of dollars on stuff saying it will "profit them in the long run".

It's not actually that bad. Ever been to a revolving restaurant? It would be similar, if not slower.

We have a Skyscraper here in Atlanta that rotates a full 360 degrees. It actually has a very lovely restraunt at the top. Very beautiful to look out over the city while you're enjoying a meal.

they're not retarted; they wouldn't pump billions of dollars into something they know will not be profitable.
all the sceptics said the Palm Island wouldn't be profitable, but they sold all the condo's within 48 hours.

It isn't profitable, that's why they are building more ridiculous stuff there to attract people going to Dubai. But no matter how green they are, I doubt they can change the scorching hot climate there.
