The music is timed with electrical impulses that are shot through the wires and into his face. These impulses makes his muscles move. I think you got it backwards, but I'm likely to be wrong.

I don't think it is even possible to have that much control over your face muscles.

I'm guessing he sends electric currents to stimulate his own face muscles..

but the doing it the other way round by sending his own body currents to play different tunes seems possible too, though you'd need a great deal of rythm and concentration
