Anyone here know how 2 make a sulphate starting with a metal nitrate?

Eh, I dont get your question.
Are you asking for a way to make a X-NO3 to a X2-SO3? (where X is the metal ion)

Transmutation. It's probably a simple single or double displacement reaction. Do you have the actual question?

You mean XSO4 + YNO3 <=> YSO4 + XNO3?
Use a soluble XSO4, YNO3, XNO3 salt and an insoluble YSO4 salt.
BTW SO3 is sulphite iirc.
