News isn't really News anymore

I've noticed that things that have been on the News aren't really News anymore. Besides the Economy and a few crooked senators almost everything has been some type of repeat from the past.
Doesn't anyone have any interesting news that is actually news....?

The government censors out most of the drama our world daily faces, the very few honest truths are often relayed through underground websites, one day blogs, and other forms of uncontrolled media. Most hidden acts are so horrendous it would lead to instant dismay upon discovery. When you want to learn or get closer to the truth, be sure to search on the Internet. Do not flip on your telly, and expect the nitty gritty to be delivered to you through a forced puppet of some smiley forced fallacy.

MsM fails, run by the plutocrats to further their agenda. Pay no mind to the man behind the curtain.

Pity, they are setting up an internet filter in Australia. They claim its to protect kids, yet its mandatory for everyone. No doubt it will censor a lot of news which shouldn't be censored =/

The netherlands, and they're news, are still pretty informative for all i know.
@censorship, gov's trying to censor the internet will fail miserably. Especially with the social trend of the last 1.5/2 years. You can't censor all that.

Yey, We're becoming like China! I hope it doesn't get passed through the senate, unless it already has. There's programs which WERE offered FREE to EVERY household in Australia, and if they didn't take the software, their fault. Putting tough internet filters on will only make Schools worse (What isn't already blocked, will be). We won't be able to see anything.
Quite pathetic in all honesty.

Its a decent idea if its monitored correctly and isn't mandatory, rather people can chose to implement it if they wish. But since its not, im not for it >_>

MSNBC
MSNBC Pretends to be a 24 hour News network. Unlike CNN and even Fox News, MSNBC does not play news or news updates for several hours on weekends and late at night. Instead they play lame documentaries like "Lock-Up: behind bars!" If you watch you can learn prison sucks and it is populated by both dangerous people and people that do not want to be there! Datelite reruns from 10 years ago are another MSNBC favorite. Major events have happened and they did not interrupt "Headliners and Legends: Cher."!!! But who need to know about a bomb going off in Baghdad killing five marines when you could be watching Cher on a 24 hour News Channel.
CNN
Crisis News Network.
The widely known and watched news station on TV, CNN, which ACTUALLY stands for "Cable News Network", will take almost any subject, and will over-exaggerate it to death.
Most of the time, running news stories for weeks at a time.
CNN will also take any subject, and try and create news off things that are connected TO the subject, but talk about things that have no relation to the point
"Breaking news, catasrophe in downtown Toronto, a Go-Train has stopped 50 meters from the station. Police don't know what caused the incident, but noone was believed to be hurt. Foul play has been ruled out."
"Now Tom, the Go-Train rides on a 5 inch thick electrically charged super-conducting alloy correct?"
Fox News
1. A television network that produces the most degrading, mind-retarding, digressive, low-budget reality programming on the planet. It has gained credibility as a major network by consistently feeding the masses with crap that fills them up. High points for the network include animated shows, especially Family Guy, which they eventually cancelled.
2. A news program that is the most sensationalist of all of the 24 hour news channels. Again, FOX NEWS has experienced high viewership due to its unparalleled ability to catch the eye of the imbecile with ridiculously exaggerated reporting and other tactics aimed at getting viewers first, and giving correct, unbiased, factual news second. Also a perfect example of how the media, in all actuality, is much more conservative than liberal. The common misconception that the media is liberal is based on surveys that asked anchors, reporters, and other people that are on the camera to give their political affiliation. The survey should have been done on the big businessmen that own everything, who are the people that get to decide what gets on the air and who gets to keep their jobs.
3. Any of various carnivorous mammals of the genus Vulpes and related genera, related to the dogs and wolves and characteristically having upright ears, a pointed snout, and a long bushy tail.
Fox news is the current administration's propoganda machine and is a much sadder comment on the state of American affairs than the current trend of low voter turnout.

the reson why the new is so boring is because the American news goes for a 90% only about America. what happened in America that day, and what the soldiers in Iraq have done that day.
That's why the news is so boring, cuz nothing really ever happends in America. That's why the european news is so much moar fun, because we show what happened all over the world, and not just what is relevant to the interests of "PRAISE AMERICA!!" people.

lol american news
Americans (and i'm including Canadians) are known for not really having an interest in politics, the economy (unless its going bad), arts, etc. One of my professors said it well: In North America students pay for a diploma, in Europe kids pay for an education. I think that speaks volumes about our attitude and the news on TV just proves the point.
BBC is already a step ahead, but we get a watered down junior edition in North America of the real program. For that reason I get most of my real news fix from a french (France) channel that we get free with cable in Canada. The only thing that bothers me with it is that it's biased towards the palestinians, but the French aren't perfect.

The only news, that isn't news in FOX News.
CNN and MSNBC is okay at times.
But BBC is awesome.
