you know how focking much money they're going to make with these projects?

They're trying to become independent from teir oil resources, that's why they're building these extreme projects. and from the look of it, they're doing a pretty good job.

Dubai : showing us they don't care about energy consumption at all. Nothing like throwing that much money into a place where no body will bother to go. Too expensive for any normal vacationer to enjoy, and only the rich will go. With the economy as it is right now, it must be a total hot spot on everyones next vacation.

i tried to book a room for next summer.. 900 for weekdays and 1100 for weekends.... and thats the cheapest room
when i go somewhere i live in a 30 dollar motel....

That's quite cheap. Four Seasons hotel in Hong Kong is around $1400 (Two bedrooms $2600) per night in Australian dollars - at the time I stayed there our dollar was near equal to the American, so that would have been the exchange rate at the time. Thank god my work paid for it =]

I saw a 2 hour show about Dubai.

Those fu**s have like 50 different projects going on at the same time.....
They are literally showering in money....

But they are providing jobs for many people so I guess it has an upside.
