Guessing. Most children over the age of 10 don't pick strawberry Ice cream as their favorite. So that means that the oldest would have to be under the age of 10. And since he couldn't be 10 I then tried 9 *which is a factor of 36* so then I simply concluded that the kids were 2,2 and 9 because there's 3 of them.

There are only eight possible combinations of ages which when multiplied together give 36.
1, 1, 36 (sum 38)
1, 2, 18 (sum 21)
1, 3, 12 (sum 16)
1, 4, 9 (sum 14)
1, 6, 6 (sum 13)
2, 2, 9 (sum 13)
2, 3, 6 (sum 11)
3, 3, 4 (sum 10)
Givin the information that the oldest likes strawberry icecream we know that one child has the highest age out of the three. The only numbers that make sense and give enough information are 2-2-9. Given any other house number you could find the ages easily, but when given the number 13 there are two possibilities which need the 'older' comment. It's worded terribly but yea..

(720)*(.5)*(.1)=36
(720)+(.5)+(.1)=720.6

then again i never heard of house numbers with decimal number
