how do you guys end chat conversations??

I can't think of a way to end a chat conversation that will in no way offend the other person. I got homework to do and I'm still chatting with this girl friend (that is a friend that is a girl)
so how do you guys end the conversation without rudely interrupting the chat? thanks

Always start with the, "So yeah..." Then just kinda go from there.
E.g. "So yeah, I need to eat some trees. - Trees don't each themselves, somebody's gotta do it."
