virtual rape and Second Life

who plays second life here? i was reading this article
http://www.secondlifeinsider.com/2007/0 ... vent-rape/as you can see there are even cops in the game to prevent 'virtual rape.'
but the question is, what the hell is virtual rape?

I used to play Second Life years ago. I quit playing, although I still get emails from some of the groups I was in. It is an interesting concept but far too open for my tastes. Virtual "anything you want that can be rezzed" comes to mind.
As a social experiment, it was fun; tech-side I'd imagine it is a nightmare to code and run servers for. There were always glitches and constant updates.

Play that every once in awhile. But idk, its scary how far some people take the role playing areas. Like the whole master and slave thing. Buts its still a fun game, a lot of cool people...a lot of weird people. If you know scripting you can do a lot.

Our country is speeding towards a financial crisis.
Our political system is messed up atm.
And yet they're going to prosecute people for virtual rape.
I think I'll need to move one of these days.
