well until January 20th 2009 (when he officially becomes president), he cant really
do anything yet, but its more then likey that he will carry on the Bush administrations
policy of trying to improve American exports and American infrastructure and industry
rather then exporting from aboard for a cheaper cost.
But all in all there's not much anyone can do about the current financial system that
can be deemed as a "quick fix" its going to take time...and a lot of effort

satman83 said it all. Bush is still the president, Obama is just the president-elect.

You're hearing that from people in that thread who really have no idea what they're talking about. No one really knows yet how his actual policies will work out... they will almost definitely differ from what he said on his campaign, 'cause just like all candidates he will have to adjust his policies to the presidential position.
Basically Obama wants to increase taxes on those making over $250,000 and decrease them on those making under that, to stimulate economic growth by bettering the condition of the middle class.
A lot of people greatly exaggerate this and say that Obama is a socialist, which he really isn't.
He is for socialized health care though.

No one will know if Obama is going to be a good president or not, only time will tell.
I just believe he is the right man for the job.
