Ok so I was riding my bike home, and as I was crossing the crosswalk, I got hit by a freaken car. It was a red light, and it turned green as I was already half way through the crosswalk. Some guy in an SUV started going when it turned green, and I saw him coming. The idiot wasnt even looking straight! He had his head turned the whole time. As I saw the car coming my whole life flashed before my eyes, and right as it hit my bike, my instincts came rushing back in. Right as he hit the back wheel of my bike, I immediately Jumped off and caught my self. I survived it without a scratch. As the guy started coming out his car, He didnt even ask if I was alright. He just started yelling what are you doing!...I wanted to punch the freaken bastard in his face, but I refrained myself from doing so. We were arguing for about couple of minutes, while the traffic behind his car was honking their horns. That idiot must have finally got it through his freaken dumb head that I could have sued his ass for hitting me. It was his fault anywayz. Last time I checked you stop for pedastrians crossing a crosswalk. Also.. If im already half way through it, and then it turns from red to green, He needs to wait until im completely through, until he starts going. The bastard got back in his car and Immediatly drove off. I didnt even have a cell phone on me to call the cops. Oh well I survived it was ok...


So bottom line... It was his fault right??

Should've got his license plate number and called the police. Fuckwits like that are the reason it's so unsafe to drive/walk down the road.

I never have problems with pedestrians, unless they happen to be dumbass attention whores walking on the wrong side of a narrow road outside a parking lot yapping on their cell phones who flail about wildy if I have to squeeze by as I'm going out a tight entrance with another car coming in.

When the signal for the crossing is green, then yes they have right away. If the crossing signal wasn't green, they don't have that right of way.

Anywayz, glad to know your safe

While I was reading the thread it was weird since the same thing happened to me, the light was green (for the direction I was going) and a car nearly ran me over. It was about 5 inches away from me when it stopped. :]]
