..probably the wrong place to ask, but different perspectives help i suppose. Im.. confused. Help?
Dylan says:
im just not that kind of person. If i see a problem i need to fix it, i simply can't ignore it. I guess i will have to wait before im ready. 6 months? a year? 10 years? 30 years? however long it takes.
Lee;; Where the hell are you when i need you? says:
whats the problem with dating someone. theres no problem there
Dylan says:
but there is. im still trying to figure out what "liking" someone actually means, the difference between friends and more than, whether its just a physical expression or whether the concept of love can actually exist. And if it does why must it be expressed? Is that not just a function of our genes and instincts as opposed to a connected feeling?
Dylan says:
but if thats the case how can i "like" someone at all, i have friends who i like for their personality and i think they are attractive as a generic statement, but would that not make them by definition someone i should like? Or is there more to it?
Dylan says:
Does cupid really exist or not? Is this a self perpetuated idea brought upon us by whats expected of society? Can one man truly live alone?
Dylan says:
these are the things i need to figure out..
Lee;; Where the hell are you when i need you? says:
u will know when your in love trust me. you will. your heart will tell you.
Dylan says:
but wheres the proof? wheres the ideals that our hearts even exist? Have you seen your heart? Do you know it exists? have you held it? How do you know it has a conscience? How can you know that its making the decisions as opposed to your mind? Since when does a heart, a simple organ made for transmitting blood, be capable of transmitting and dictating emotions?
Lee;; Where the hell are you when i need you? says:
the heart im talking about isnt an organ. its more of a feeling then anything else.
Dylan says:
again thats just your mind telling you that it exists, but thats little more than accepting the concept exists without actually proving it
Dylan says:
its a false sense of reality being pushed onto you by the way society brings us up.
Dylan says:
we are animals, plain and simple. "animals" dont find love, they mate and leave
Dylan says:
so.. why dont we?
