If you have these you should get a quad core or you will bottleneck that dual core. DDR3 has a very small performance gain over DDR2 but cost a ton more.
What games do you plan on playing?

Wow, very nice. You must have money to spend freely
Although, I would recommend that you buy a bigger power supply, like 1200 watts.
And a bigger case would make your life easier lol. Full tower is the way to go.

Intel Core 2 Quad Q9450
Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550
Intel Core 2 Quad Q9650
Any one of these would be nice for your set up.

I'd be going with a quad core as well, if you have the budget for it than do it. An extra $100 or so is well worth it.

If you have the money (by the looks of it you do) I'd go with 8gb ram, I have 4 with vista and it eats around 2gb idle.

GFX card is just way too good. Just get a GEForce 8800 GTX

It's not just 1, it's 2 of them in SLI XD
Yeah, that system is pretty overkill... would last you 5 years easily

FYI, WoW doesn't play nice with SLI.
You're not really going to see a difference over a single nice card, but those other games should look pretty good.

your playing at 1680x1050 with that setup u gotta be kidding... I play with 4GB DDR2, Q6600 OCed to 3.2Ghz and a 9800GTX card at 1920x1200 just fine on all the games, of course games like Crysis and far cry 2 I am not gonna be able to do AA but at that res who cares! lol. The SLI is overkill for that res, the scaling for SLI only makes a significant difference at 1920x1200 or higher res, u might as well just get one GTX280 and save the money u will notice little difference. If u want to future proof your pc take the extra money from the SLI card and buy a Q9650 and a watercooling system and OC it like mad. That's my suggestion
