so for my grade 11 ancient history project i have chosen my subject to be on the Ancient Silkroad, but you have to debate sorta between 2 things or chat about a specific part of the silkroad and relate it. (ie. Julius Casar: Great man or opportunist?, Do the years between 450-800 C.E. deserve the title "The Dark Ages"?) So i have to come up with the "point" i guess of the essay. Any ideas please?

How about "The contributions of the Silkroad". Or something along those lines.
It helped spread religion, architexture, and customs throughout many different country's, such as India. Hope I helped, and good luck on the essay.

Coming from the only guy that I can credibly say "has a huge and unjustified ego". You should check your post history, then go over how what you say applies to everything you write.

your teaching system is different to mine in Canada. Technically silkroad was not even on the list for topics to chose from since we are studying Egypt and Greece(troy was da best movie), but i didn't like any of the topics so i asked my teacher and she said i could do it on SR. Any who i still can't think of discussion topic in the essay, come on dom your the smart one here, cook something up in that big brain of yours

In Ontario we don't get to pick history classes until 11th and 12th grade. Before that it's required Canadian history classes. The 11th grade class is from basically the begining of time to the XVth century-ish depending on how far the teacher gets, and the 12th grade class follows up to as far as the teacher can get before the end of the semester.
@Blackfox989
If I remember right, you have a world religion class in grade 11. You could write about how the silkroad helped to bring buddhism into China and its social impacts. The class textbook and notes would help a lot with writing the paper.
Or, you could compare it to the fall of Byzantine - in terms of Roman and Greek ideas making their way around Europe. Of course, you would talk about how the enclosed China took to new ideas and stuff like that.

Wait until later. Teachers Copy entire paragraphs into google to make sure you're not cheating.
