What's the most spectacular photo(s) you've ever captured?

I'd like to see and get ideas, I like Photography a lot and wanted to see what you people of SRF are capable of, so please, if you don't mind post some of your pictures you took.

(Must be yours, and not ripoffs / googled images)

----

I'll start. I like unusual photographs, but I also like landscape scenes.

Spoiler!

My favs.

Show yours please.

I work as a freelance photographer, usually portraits or portfolio's for starting models, aswell as wedding photography. Wedding photography pays great, I take about 400 pictures, they can get them on a CD, printed, or printed in a hardcoverbook, cards or whatever, anything goes. They can select the photo's they like themselves, or let me choose. And it's fun as long as the bride doesn't QQ about her dress getting dirty. I don't really love the portrait photography much, I rather go out to the beach or a forest or anything like that to take photo's of scenery, animals, plants and such, though I don't really have much time to do that. I rarely leave without my camera, though.

I work with two camera's, an Olympus C-8080 Wide Zoom and the newer Canon EOS 450D.

Not entirely sure if DeviantART will link them correctly, but Photobucket resizes them:

Wedding Photography 1 (There's more but I couldn't be assed to upload them all):

There's more at my DeviantART page, but I admit I don't really update it alot, I keep photo's archived on an external HD,
and I can't be assed to scroll through thousands of photo's to upload them there. :3

Soooo if you guys gonna get married, call me, you'll get discount. Like 5% and you also pay my planeticket to wherever-you-live. :3
Oh and, no wedding cake, no photo's! :x

My girlfriend and I work together to take photographs. She enjoys it, and I find her passions fascinating. Besides, it gives her an excuse to take me with her to secluded places, and of that, I have no objections.

Two of the most recent ones that we've taken:

Spoiler!

The first one is of me and her at a local park. The second one we took in Colorado up in the mountains.

Nothing spectacular, but I think both of them are good enough for two students who are barely keeping their heads above water in their classes.

Color photography=eww, though the eiffel tower, skyline, and waterfall ones aren't bad.

I have some photos I really like, but I only have the photos and negatives, so I can't upload them.

[EDIT:] Those are some nice pictures fena, though the fist one is unnaturally tall.

Thanks. :)

The first one only looks unnaturally tall. It's height is standard height; however, the width was cropped down by my girlfriend to get rid of all the extra park scenery like benches and railing that may have otherwise detracted from the intended focal.

I'm a freelance photographer, I study and got other jobs so this is definitely not a full time job that needs to pay the all the bills. My prices are always lower than of the photographers that depend on their photography for a living.

Prices depend on what the customer wants really.
  • Prices for portraits start around € 35,00 (about $46)
  • Wedding Photography: vanaf € 250,00 (about $326)
  • Starting models can request series for their portfolio, but I don't have standard prices for that; they all want something different so it's hard to set just one price.
  • Pictures on location - recently got a car - about 19 cent per km, gasoline doesn't pay itself. :3
  • I also have a small studio with professional lights if needed.

I also take care of printing, people can have them printed, or I can burn them on a CD, DVD as slideshow, canvas or printed in a hardbook cover. I had a pricelist laying around but I can't find it at the moment.

Usually young people come to me for photography, starting models, young people getting married, they usually don't have the money for a professional photographer, and appearantly I'm a good 2nd option lol.
Only thing I don't do is fetish photography, artistic nude is fine, but nothing beyond that.

Being a photographer is fun, but you don't have complete freedom, people who come to you always have sort of a wish and you're going to have to fulfill it. Of course there's space for your own input, but it'd unacceptable if YOU like the photo's, but your customer does not. Especially at a wedding it's a mistake you simply cannot make.

Also, never leave without backup. I'm drowning in memory cards and batterypacks. I have always two camera's in case something happens.
Upgrade, upgrade, upgrade, it doesn't only cough up money, it costs alot aswell. The Canon EOS 450D I recently bought, I spent tons on new, better lenses and what not. Before I started earning something, I had spent loads already. ><

Then again, I always get the biggest slice of wedding cake.
So worth it.
