How long are you working out when you do?

muscles need between 48 and 72 hours to restore anything else could be mistake on your side, there is the possibility that you are stacking without knowing it also therefore it would be good if you gave some more details on what you do and also learn how to isolate muscles you are wasting your time if you dont do this
i am thinking to myself you are one of those people who doenst work out for a year then goes all out and cant move the next day .... take it slow and give yourself time if this is the case

Just dont work out the same set of muscles the day after and you'll be fine. If you can still feel them it just shows that you're getting something out of the excersises. Dont expect to get good results without feeling anything.

heh ok maybe i should be more specific, no i do work out regularly but you know how when you start bumping up the intensity, lets use one of mine for example when i work out biceps with curls, then you will get sore somewhat bc you have to tear and rebuild muslces to increase mass
but now ive got my question answered from soemone already, i already said in this post that im not like that sore, just a tiny bit... im not like going all out or doing too much bc i know exactly how much is enough and how to work out, i just needed some advice about little soreness but w/e i got my questions answered!
thanx every1

Based on what you said, I think you're not getting enough sleep, you need to eat more, or the technique of whatever you're doing isn't correct.
Also, I don't know if you do this or not, but be sure to stretch after each workout. This helps speed up the removal of lactic acid(Causes you to be sore/tired) from whatever muscle you were exercising.

That's the lactic acid in your body, keeps you sore, make sure you stretch pretty much everything before and after your done your workout sessions.

Yeah make sure you stretch like what the guys said above. I've gotten sore from working out not too long ago for not working out. I could barely throw a football around without getting cramped in my bicep.

I might just be naive, but isn't it the lactic acid that ultimately causes for the muscles to grow though? I thought that lactic acid was a primitive evolution, but it stuck, and it actually "burns" the muscles, but because of them burning, it causes for them to regrow bigger and stronger.
Although then again, if you're stretching afterwards, it could just be squeezing the lactic acid out faster, so you still get the same amount of burn, and just less down time...
I wish I could help, but you gave very few details, even if you're still sore, then you should still work out, but after a while, give yourself a 2 week~ break, and you'll be better than new.

During the process of a workout, small tears accumlate in a muscle. Afterwards, they are then replaced by stronger muscles...assuming that you get proper rest and eat properly.
There isn't really a clear answer on what lactic acid does to the body. You could be right, I could be right, who knows. Its still being debated. Its just known that when your body does not have enough oxygen to perform cellular respiration or sometimes even before you run out of oxygen, the body undergoes lactic acid fermenation to make energy. The byproduct(some refer to it as a waste product.) is lactic acid.
I think he needs to eat properly and rest more. I believe he is most likely sore because his body is unable to repair the small tears in his muscles.
