i honestly sort of saw the smackdown of the texans coming. to me they're the (slightly better) falcons of the afc. good, borderline great team.. lots of talent. what have they accomplished at all though? i mean the texans did pretty well in the playoffs last year especially given the circumstances but they have a long way to go to be considered a clutch/top notch team imo.

and the eagles LOL. watching them and the jets this year have just been hilarious. i'm curious to see what they do about vick though.. given i'm pretty sure he has a giant contract and is making around 15.5m next year. he's not great but he is entertaining and could definitely start for ~5 teams right now. would be sort of a shame to see him ride the bench in philly.

speaking of quarterbacks, i wonder how it feels to be a cardinals fan knowing that kurt warner could probably slap on a pair of shoulderpads right now and still be a more effecient QB than any of the ones currently on the roster. poor larry fitzgerald.. wonder what that guys stats would look like if he had someone to throw him the ball during his career.

I was not expecting the absolute decimation of the Giants on Sunday. I thought it was going to be a close game but a did not expect a shut out at all. I was very impressed, and yes, I know that they would have had three points if they're kicker didn't miss the kick but it's only three points.

That Sunday night game. What a comeback by Brady, I gotta say. SF is still looking like a Super Bowl contender. I still stick with my San Francisco v Houston Super Bowl matchup.

The packers are one of the hotest teams in the NFC, SF vs GB for the NFC Championship, Texans and Pats for the AFC, i think the Superbowl will be a rematch GB vs SF

Packers Vs Pats, I don't know why i typed in SF.... but yeah that would be a good match, both explosive offenses and both with a decent defence.

I'm being a bit of a homer here but I think it's going to be GB vs Denver for the Lombardi Trophy.

Rick is pissed about the entire Steeler's season. They just....didn't play and got 5 injuries every game. I think not making the playoffs is for the better, I can't see the, going far if they did.

I'd like to think Manning could lead Denver to a Super Bowl win, but I don't know yet. He is pretty much the man.

Houston is disappointing me terribly and SF has been slacking lately as well.

Sticking to my guns though and saying SF v Houston

I hope that washington wins against dallas, would be interesting to see all three "good" rookies play in the playoffs, sorry browns.

playoff predictions fellas? personally..

hou > cin - i said all along houston wouldn't win a playoff game this year but then cin slipped in over pit. think houston can pull it together just enough to beat the bengals..

ind > bal - flacco sucks. ravens defense is hardly what it used to be + it's rattled by injuries.

sea > was - i think i might've went the other way if rg3 wasn't running at like half speed vs dallas though.

gb > min - almost impossible to think gb would let the vikings beat them in back to back weeks

The bengals did not "slip" in over pitt they won 2 more games then them. Having said that i am conflicted on whether they will win against Huston as they have been doing pretty poor as of late.

MIN > GB
WAS > SEA
IND > BAL
HOU > CIN barely.... but i wouldn't be surprised if cin won.

they were on the outside looking in the vast majority of the season, i'd consider that a slip in. they earned it obviously but they were never a lock for the playoffs nor are they likely to be a strong team in the playoffs..

How can you think GB will lose to the vikings again? I just can't imagine the packers losing to them back to back.

Neither can I, all they have to do is stop Adrian Peterson. Ponder doesn't really have many options when it comes to passing, Peterson is pretty much the reason they are there and I doubt the Packers will let him get as many yards as they did last week.
I also have Washington over the Redskins, Colts over Baltimore, and Houston over Bengals. I'm not too sold on either of these teams over the other, I could be completely wrong with all my selections.

This Cin vs. Hou game is the worst playoff game I've seen in a while.

Minnesota doesn't have Ponder against the Vikings so they might as well run the wildcat with AP for the entire game.

In my defense this was before i knew Joe "How does i play the football" Web was playing.

I agree all of the games this weekend were pretty shitty, the redskins seahawks looked promising at first, but after RG3 messed up his knee near the end of the 1st it just took a nose dive from there.

I did go 4/4 on my picks for this week. Next week is interesting and a little harder to pick, but my choices are:

Denver > Baltimore
Houston > New England
Atlanta > Seattle
San Francisco > Green Bay

Houston v NE is up in the air honestly, and Seattle has been playing alright while Atlanta has been up and down for the past 6 weeks or so.

If I had realized/known this would be the matchup, I might have changed my Super Bowl picks a long time ago. For my picks alone though, I have to pick Houston winning.

I didn't know I could receive NFL broadcasts in HD. was going through the sports channels the other day and they were broadcasting a live match in the NFL. i think imma learn the rules of this game and start watching it. the only sport i watch is football. picking up a new sport to watch might be fun.

How Baltimore managed to pull off that win, I have no idea. I think a lot of it had to do with this being Ray Lewis' last season and so they're trying to pull what Pittsburgh did for Bettis and win it all.

I figured San Francisco would blow out Green Bay like that. Tied at the half and then SF wins by double pretty much? Yeah.

Atlanta should keep up this pace and they got this win, I'm not really sure why picks were so evenly split between Atlanta and Seattle, but alright. I don't see either team beating San Francisco anyway.

This next Houston v New England game is what I'm excited about. I have a stupid amount of confidence in Houston, and I really just want to see New England knocked out.

very good games this week, 1000x better than last week. sooo sad the broncos lost though.. wanted to see a brady v manning playoff showdown. not really fond of the teams left from a fan standpoint. i guess i'd prefer the falcons out of what's remaining. *sigh*

0/3 on picks so far i should be on television :sohappy:

There's been some pretty damn good playoff games lately, (Ravens/Broncos and Seahawks/Falcons). Though I will say I was surprised the Seahawks did so well against Atlanta, even if they did end up losing, seeing as how they flew under my radar all year. The 49'ers destroying Green Bay by that much also surprised me. But I do love me self a QB like the niners have.

So far though, I'm torn about who to root for, simply because I like most of the team. Of the 4 remaining, Pat's are my least favorite. Though I still think it'd be cool if Tom Brady was to win another super bowl, so long after his first super bowl win.

Should be some good games coming up. Can't wait.
