Re: Your Computer Specs
Get the 1090t, the 1100t is a waste. Then get the hd 6870, not the 6850. You also got really unlucky. The WD Black 1TB i bought on 10/10 was $80, right now it's $220 due to flooding in Thailand. Also either get 4gb of ram or 8gb of ram.

Re: Your Computer Specs
I know i realise now the HD is going to bite me in the ass.
Ok, i'll probs upgrade to 8gigs or ram then, and the Video and keep the 1090T.
Hopefully if i buy it from TD or NCIX it will come out relatively cheap, the local options here have things priced higher than online in most cases.

Very nice, and I originally got 8gb of ram, and again I suggested you 8, but again if you upgrade, get another 8

Re: Your Computer Specs
Well i have 2 GB of Mushkin from an old comp i have, DD3 would that be compatible? 2x 4Gb and 2x 1GB? to make 10gb total?
NVM, re-checked and the Old memory is DDR2 not DDR3...
Now im just thinking of what Case to buy. Really excited for the comp, i should be ordering it from NCIX in 3 or 4 days

I like your build except for:
XFX Radeon HD 6950 2GB PCI-E
I would take a 1GB board if I was in your position.

actually 2GB is great, gonna last a lot longer than current 1gb. Raw power of course will go out of date quick

Re: Your Computer Specs
It makes a lot of sense actually. Skyrim itself was built for consoles or it's an engine based off an old version and well.. you know how that turns out. I'm too lazy to even bother to search, but yeah.. I haven't played Skyrim, but all the screenshots I see have low polys and low res textures.
Having a game look pretty doesn't mean you need a computer from NASA. Perfect example would be most games off the Source and Unreal 3 engines. Oh yeah it also depends on what resolution you're running at.
Update on my computer. Bought me a heatsink off newegg while it was on sale. SSD still too much for my pockets and I guess I should have done research on the heatsink, but whatever $15. As long as it does better than the stock heatsink I'm okay with my purchase. Now time to read up on overclocking..

Looking to pick up a couple things off newegg this blackfriday. Particularly a ssd and a cpu heatsink. Yeah I'm using a stock heatsink. Deal with it. At ~50c idle and 75c load.

I'm curious here why the 6790 and i7? If you use HT then forgive me, but I see that as a $100 wasted when you could have had a better video card. Even then the 2500k isn't bad without HT. Also ew at the turtle beach.
