You can't 'grade' a society by its less mature inhabitants. I think at a certain level and beyond people are rational and intelligent. At the end of the world, people will only kill or rape out of hatred (for themselves/the world/etc) and perhaps to get some sort of satisfaction. I'd like to think those people are in the minority. To be comfortable with something like that, regardless of the situation, one would have to be mentally ill.

Death can put things into perspective. When people find out they have a life threatening disease, some decide to live life to its fullest, some become religious, some fall into a state of depression, very few go out and pillage cities. The human race would've died off long ago if that was our first instinct. We've proven an ability to continue and create, even amidst oceans of suck. Either way, I've seen some of your posts in another thread and I must say I admire the ability you have to get your ideas across. Were you ever in debate or something like that?

On topic: I'd probably take a nice shower and listen to music for a couple hours. If the world isn't over by then I'd get together with my friends and family for dinner and we'd tell stupid jokes the rest of the time.

And you say his opinion isnt backed up by fact, and that's true. But I think your biased opinion affects yours as well. You are right in saying theres a bunch of times where rape, looting and chaos has happened in riots. But riots are spurred by injustice. What's the injustice of the world ending? Who's fault would it be?
The fact you see everything around you so badly must give you quite a bleak outlook on life.

But then again, I suppose the great society I live in is maybe affecting my views.
