WTF are you talking about with our "incapabilities"? How does our economy (you mentioned this as a flaw) have anything to do with...ANY of this? It doesn't. That's where things get overly complicated. Should we blame the chinese for acting the way they did based on their reaction? Or should we place the blame where it originated from. Who is the guilty one here and who gets to be the victim? Looks pretty clear to me and I won't lie about it. I think she shouldn't be banned from China but a nice apology wouldn't hurt either. It might even be the smartest move for her yet. This isn't the first time Miley made the news mind you. If I punched someone in the face who did absolutely nothing to me, and he gets mad at me, isn't that something I deserve at that moment? Or do I get to call the person I hit an overreacting crybaby?

While this is clearly beyond the boundaries of an ordinairy street fight. The concept is the same. And while not all asians might take offence to this joke.. It was still a very dumb joke, and this could have been expected by anyone who can tie their laces on their own accord.

Uhrg, so many race groups take offense to almost anything nowadays. People should stop taking offense to everything as if it's a racial trait. Like religions as well, it seems like it has become a privilege to take offense in something if you're a minority.

I think that people make their self out to be minority way too fast and take every opportunity to act offended.

This was just a general comment towards such cases, not this particular case. I think it speaks volumes about the Chinese government that they only decided to ban Miley Cyrus and no one else doing it.

If you want to move forward in your career you have to be cautious not to offend any groups of people. There are people sensitive to this type of stuff especially if they were picked on for their ethnicity as a child. Not a good way to make fans and sell your music.

Im an american born chinese (this is goin to take some serious hits in the later posts, im sure), living in an islamic country.

But after reading this post, i feel that i am not allowed to call myself american longer, since 10/10 of americans in this thread are against my principles.
