Men and women are still unequal; blacks are still discriminated against. Your point?

FUC- The world wasn't perfect for me.
Perfection comes in varying degrees. Crim's question was about Grandpa's neighbor loving post, amirite? Well, that's when Americans loved their neighbors the most: In that context, yes it was perfect. In other context it varies. From Fail to Success.

People did not love their black neighbors did they? The world has been and will always be far from perfection

At least women can share equal jobs as men, and blacks aren't picking your cotton.
And lets not forget we don't have southerners seceding from the union.

Things are so much better than they use to be. Sure racism still exists and so does discrimination based on age, gender, sexual preference blah blah.. but its a step in the right direction. I was having a talk to my guy friend today who recently came out as bi ( i have a lot of guy friends who came out as gay in the last year ). In todays society its accepted as "normal", sure some people hate but most people are understanding. Hell 100 years ago you would be disowned for that kind of thing, yet here i am, just a normal straight bloke who has more gay friends than straight. In some countries they have even legalized gay marriage ( canada? )
It may not be perfect, but it's made a lot of progress.
