Host family is the family he's staying with in Japan. They "host" you, take care of you, let you live with them, show you around, yeah.

Re: japan exchange program *new pics!*
I went to akihabara electric city and Tokyo DisneySea, to name a few places
Chip and Dale pimping

cosplay uniforms, these are maid uniforms. I also went to a maid cafe

yay disney charecters

DisneySea, theres a rollercoaster inside the volcanoe

Disneysea

This is the famous tourist street in asakusa where they sell all these japanese stuff. There were so many foreigners here

Hammamatsu City

Hammamatsu Lake, the 2nd biggest lake in japan

This is a picture of my host grandmother`s 88th birthday celebration, which was held in hammamatsu. Everyone here was related to my host grandmother. I didnt know anyone but my host family. Find me lol

I found this is akihabara in an obscure shop. I`ve read about onacups online, but I never thought I`d actually see a real one lol. IF you didnt know, these things are masturbation toys

This is tokoname pottery road

This is disneySea, and thats a huge ocean liner replica, which was actually pretty awesome. Thats me with my host brother (hes 23) and his friend, which he insisted was not his girlfriend, lol, yeah right.

This is tokyo at night, near tokyo station

Another view

Asakusa shrine pagoda

This is the shrine gate

And this is the shrine

Asakusa city

Tokyo disney sea

tokyo disney sea again

My first view of akihabara, right out of the train station

A huge poster promoting metal gear solid 4. They were selling mgs4 + ps3 for about $500

Re: japan exchange program *disneysea and akihabara*
Recently I went on a yacht near a port in tokoname city, pacific side. I also went to nagoya castle yesterday. by the way, im going to school in japan right now.
This is the yacht I went on

This is the main keep of nagoya castle.

This is a tower in the wall surrounding the keep.

This is the moat, which didnt have any water. It was very deep.

And deer in the moat?? how the hell did they get there

The main keep was converted into a museum. You can go to the top and look outside. Its actually a nice view.

Another view. By the way this is nagoya city..if you didnt figure it out already

On top of the castle there are two golden dolphins which are really famous. the original ones were burned down in 1945, and they found the remains.

Arquebuses, which are brainchilds of muskets.

A real sword, its so vicious looking

various helmets

this is what it would have looked like in the 17th century

*Note that the museum really liked to emphasize how all their artifacts were burned down in a bombing raid by american bombers in 1945. Like it was our fault that they attacked pearl harbor first. That is the only aspect of japanese society that I dislike. Them just playing the victim because they suffered the only 2 atomic bomb attacks in history.
