you act like theres no such thing as short men....isn't like average height of 20 year old guys in the US 5'10 which is short by my standards not to mention there are girls that are as tall as the average easily....and most girls don't weigh 95 pounds either -_-

so yeah thats a bit sexist if your mindset on females is like that

I haven't posted on this forum in a long damn time and I lost my login, but I just had to create a new account so I could comment on this.

Disconnected, are you over 18? If so, did you get a selective service registration notice? And how long ago was it? I have not heard of a person get put into Selective Service in a long damn time...it appears as though they do not feel the need to force people into Selective Service for one: We are a fairly-sized military super-power, of course not over ALL countries, but we have enough soldiers as it is to not need a drafting service. Notice how we didn't need to draft for The Gulf? or Panama? We had 27,000 soldiers go into Panama bay, there was no draft and my father was not put into selective service.

To comment on the women being in ground-forces, No, I do not believe a 120-150 pound woman will always suffice to a 185-230 pound guy in ground forces however, there should be circumstances where that can be bypassed. Even so, Women are able to be in other fields of the military, and for that I applaud them.

Women should not be required to register for selective service.

The reason is pure and clear. It would destabilize society. It would throw off the entire social structure off. When a country gets so desperate and short of manpower to have to resort to have women fight their battles, that country has already determined its own future.

Sexism plays a huge role in this, no matter what we may say. Even though the educated men and women in the world may regard each other as equals, a man and a women are fundamentally different. Nature has already predetermined that-we see it in other species. The role of a man and the role of a women will always be clearly defined no matter what we may do to equalize both genders.

nature has nothing to do with it. Ever heard of a matriarchal society. There have been plenty extremely successful ones throughout history. The differences between males and females with regards to their standing vary from species to species. For example im pretty sure we all know that in the Insect world females are pretty dominate, black widows eat the males, Queen bees are often the largest and strongest insects in the hive, etc. But humans are not like other species, we have evolved to the point where we are no longer bound by natural limitations. We can move at the speed of sound, fly, travel across oceans, etc. That being said Gender is playing less and less the pivotal role it used to and TBH the whole male dominated society is very much European and Oriental idea (mostly just Chinese and Japanese).

The average height for American Women is 5'4-5 the average weight is about 160-165LB thats alot more than ppl think and give women credit for. Where ppl are getting this image of a tiny girl who can blow over at the slightest touch from i don't know. Im only 145 and 6'3 what makes me more qualified than my sister who is 6'0 and 140....of course she's had ROTC training which makes her better qualified than me. Women think alot faster than men on average allowing them to multi-task better than most men. They are also naturally more agile than men. So the only advantage men have on women is height and weight and in modern times where the taller you are the easier you are to spot and the bigger you are the easier target you make wouldn't having smaller more agile troops that are able to get around easier without being noticed make more sense. If you need ppl to do grunt work than by all means the average male is superior, but war is no longer about carrying heavy shields and armor and blades into combat its about getting into position, working together, and taking the best shot you can manage. Its well known that women work better together than men do due to the lack of hormones that naturally make males more aggressive with each other and smaller egos.

Destabilize society? If by that you mean they'd easily replace men in modern warfare causing most guys to feel like pussies because they can't compete than yes. But anyone who actually has knowledge of modern military warfare as well as some sociological and anatomical reasoning would realize that a group of well trained women would probably make better snipers, better officers, and better communications and tech analyst than a group of well trained men.

Progress is key to keeping an advantage. Stagnation and refusal to change has destroyed empires before. If you don't have the balls to realize this than please step aside because if your so reliant on your outdated machismo to feel good about yourself you have no place in this constantly evolving world and your just holding the rest of us up.
