There was a study done where people with high IQ tend to vote Democratic and people with low IQ tend to vote for Republicans (e.g. Bush).

This is the first pres election i will be able to vote in. I've always said, as an american you MUST vote, because if you want to complain, you need to vote. Anyone that had the oppurtunity to vote but didnt because of choice, does not deserve to bitch about anything. It is with this that im having a hard time, because to be honest, right now all the candidates look rather poor in what i need to see in a person that is going to sit in the most powerful office of the world.

Colbert would have probably been the most qualified candidate if he had been allowed on the ballot. Of course, the independent party / a write in is always an option. A vote for the independent party isnt really saying you want them to win, its more of a statement saying that the big runners blow, so your vote goes to the little guy with no chance. Of course, there is always the write in option of mickey mouse (who gets thousands of votes each presidential election)

the mexicans are coming in to work..the only reason they keep coming is because they keep finding work because we keep giving it to them....in other words even though we're yelling at them we desperately want more so we can underpay and over work them....

Besides the fact that most reasonable people would disagree with that assertion, you didn't answer my query as to why you are actually concerned since you're so far away from the problem and if you were effected it would most likely be indirectly.

it's true, illegal immigrants come here cuz we want them here to do our dirty work. i applaud every single person that works 40-50 hr jobs and keep our hallways, bathrooms, and cafeterias clean so the next day we can ..... them up again.

I don't see it Collapsing anything. What it will do is open jobs to who ever needs them, Citizens that is. Im sure there are plenty of people without educations who could use a job like painting fences, simply because they don't have many other ways to make money. Not to mention the many of them that bring loads of drugs over (I know it happens here but still a reason)

It won't open jobs unless the ppl doing them are willing to work dirt cheap cause thats what the mexicans are getting paid. If everyone else took over there jobs it would make the prices of goods and services go up by alot. Not to mention with things like unions it would probably increase the price of goods and services even more...

A plentiful cheap labor force has always been the backbone of the US Economy be it slaves, Irish Immigrants, Asian Immigrants, or Mexican immigrants....the US has always had a supply of other ppl to do the bottom work nothing will change and the country wouldn't have made it this far without it....

To vote, everyone must have a voting license. To acquire this license, everyone should have to pass a short multiple choice questionnaire proving understanding of basic economic and political concepts.

again your canadian and they had that idea...it basically limited to voting power to only educated whites...if they reimplemented that now i don't think it would be much different....limits like that don't allow the votes to represent the population , if your citizens are uneducated on economics and politics oh well they should still have the right to vote....

And again, thanks for bringing up the white issue. My subconscious must of been finding ways to exclude/eliminate/insult/detroy blacks once again.

Voting is the right of everyone thats what DEMOCRACY is all about...start putting in place who can have a vote and who should and its not democracy anymore...don't like it, go someplace where they don't have a democratic gov't and see how you like it there...
