All government jobs. Doctor or surgeon or anything in medical field. All executive jobs. If you ever have to travel for your job (I'm not sure if this is still true). If you want to be a professional athlete.

Oh lol, yeah, I was just talking about US ;)

Ummm.... I don't think there are many good jobs you can get without urine samples. Although you can own car dealerships and do drugs and stuff, because they don't give a shit, lol. (Btw, car dealership owners make SHIT LOADS. Seriously, they make like millions of dollars a year).
But to get that job, you have to work for the dealership for a LONG time, or be a victim of nepatism (however you spell that).

Thats what I keep telling myself, until I had to quit one day -.-

Its not so much that its hard to quit. Its that you can easily get tempted to smoke again.

First of all, you'll need to smoke long enough to get addicted else quitting ain't hard.
And when you're addicted, it'll be much harder as you ever thought.

NON smokers r annoying
and smokers who say they want 2 quit r annoying
If the concept of us being all one consciousness's and us being one thing that lives endless through the cycle of nature the only clear emotion would be understanding .

I know, my dad quit cold turkey. He was in the army so I guess he's a little tougher than most people who want to quit smoking but I think you should be able to gather enough willpower to quit without nicotine patches or whatever. So rather than say you want to quit, just do it. But I guess if you didn't have enough willpower to restrain from trying cigarettes in the first place...

That's probably one of the stupidest things I've ever heard, I'm sorry but it really is. Some people choose to try, it doesn't mean they have poor will power. I didn't have to start smoking but I wanted to try it. It was my choice, I knew the effects of smoking. I stole my first one from my dad, so there was no peer pressure.

thats a pretty stupid thing right there. With all the negative stuff in the media and around schools about cigarettes i don't understand how ppl willingly try to take up smoking. It doesn't smell appealing and the only ppl who like hanging out with smokers while they are smoking is normally other smokers. Its a toxic stick thats been linked to cancer. i don't see why someone would think "I just want to try puffing out foul smoke once" ...

You don't understand, I do. Personally I love the smell/taste of cigarettes. So no what I said makes perfect sence, it's matter of oppinion. But saying somebody has weak will power because of that is rediculous.

Did you like the smell and taste before you started?

Yeah, I don't understand why people smoke cigarettes in the first place.

Cigars/Pipes/Hookahs are fine though 'cause you don't get addiced (no nicotine (Unless you're a retard who buys tobacco with nicotine in it)).
Fun to blow smoke rings & act like you're sophisticated :D

But yeah, I don't understand why people even try cigarettes anymore.

;) yeah.

When your parents smoke I figure it's pretty easy to want to start.
I wonder if I would have smoked if my parents did?

Hmm...... Probably.

Haha, just goes to show what a weak minded person I am ;)

My dad never smoked around me, he always went into the back yard and my mom quit when she found out she was pregnant with me.

I think it's cool when people quit 'cause they're gonna have a baby.

Oh yeah, forgot to say the reason why I would have started isn't all because of my parents, but it's 'cause I lived in holland where like 95% of the people smoked.

the willpower thing is just as plausible a reason to take up smoking as your smell thing. Which is just weird i really didn't think there were ppl who liked the smell even my relative who smoke never said it tasted or smelled good...

You could apply the same logic to deep fried foods, soft drinks, and processed cheeses and meats. Instead of making you cough, they make you fat, which makes you cough when walking too much.

I believe smoking is bad, just as bad as eating unhealthy foods, street racing, or not wearing a construction helmet on a work site.

What someone does regarding smoke is their decision, and having the right to make that decision is a fundamental basis of our society. However, saying it's bad while stuffing your face with a dozen of krispy kreme donuts is plain hypocritical.

When you decide to smoke you make a tradeoff decision. You choose to pay the price both economically and with your health. However, when you decide to smoke you have to be responsible with it, and respect people who have decided against it; but at the same time, those people have to respect your decision, and not remind you every 5 minutes about what they learned in their grade 7 health & sexuality class.

The difference theres no bodily craving or need for the ingredients in cigarettes. In the case of fatty foods while they are over abundant in health and sugar i was watching Discovery channel once and it explained that both fat and sugar are naturally more appealing to most ppl than any other kinds of flavors. Alot of ppl from the start(birth) will enjoy the taste or sweet foods or fatty foods. The same cannot be said for cigarettes as after the first try many ppl either throw up or have another sort of terrible reaction. So sweets and fats are a much more natural craving than the allure of cigarettes which from what i can tell appears to be a VERY acquired taste....

As far as which one is more dangerous depends on the person. Some ppl have smoked all their lives without any problems some die young. I myself have a fast metabolism for fatty foods don't bother me any and i have quite a sweet tooth. Whereas someone else my age and height who ate as much junk as i do could easily weigh will over 250Lb. Both are bad and there shouldn't be a competition about which is worse just don't f*ck up your body period....
